4-H Shooting Sports in Butte & Lawrence Counties
Shooting Sports is just one of more than 70 project areas available in the 4-H Program. The 4-H Shooting Sports season runs from January through April each year and there are three shooting sports groups in Butte & Lawrence counties. All three groups are open to all 4-H members in Butte and Lawrence counties and 4-H members are welcome to join whichever group fits their schedule. These are special interest groups that meet in addition to regular club work.
Butte County 4-H Shooting Sports meets weekly on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Choose the day and time that works best for your family. All practices are held in the basement of the former Family Addiction Services building in Belle Fourche. This group offers BB Gun, Air Rifle, Air Pistol and Archery. .22 Rifle and .22 Pistol are also available, weather permitting, to regular attendees. Lawrence County Sharp Shooters meets weekly on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM at the Crowley Ranch near St. Onge. This group offers BB Gun, Air Rifle and Air Pistol. .22 Rifle and .22 Pistol are also available on a limited basis.
